I'm sat here knackered after 4 hours' sleep, watching England beat Mexico 2-1.

To top it off, I've been painting the house all day (again).

And as I sit down to write this... nothing. No clue what to write about.

So what do I do?

The same thing I always do when this happens (which isn't often):

I just start writing.

No sweating it. No staring at a blank screen. Just words on the page.

And would you look at that. I'm already halfway through an email.

Pretty soon I'll pivot to a CTA and voila. Email done.

Here's the lesson for you and your dog business:

Next time you're stuck for content, or an email to your list, don't wait for inspiration. Just start writing. The magic happens once your fingers are moving.

In fact, I've just given you a content marketing lesson without even realising it, and it all started with a ramble.

A couple of other tricks to keep the ideas flowing:

Spend an hour each morning reading articles or emails from people in your niche.

Or better still, join a community where other dog business owners hang out. When you live and breathe your niche, content ideas find you.

Talking of which...

If you haven't already, take a look at the Pooch Profits Skool community for dog business owners.

It might just be the best business decision you make this year.

And there you have it. An email, born from writer's block.
