Good morning, good evening, or good afternoon, wherever you are in the world.

A few updates today, plus a small rant.

First, you may have noticed my “daily” emails haven’t exactly been daily. That’s down to two things: my daughter recently had an operation, and I’ve taken on full-time copywriting work with a fantastic company in the dog therapy space.

Between the two, time has been tight. Emails over the next week or so may still be a little irregular, but I’ve got some genuinely exciting content lined up.

Now, onto something worth your attention.

Yesterday, I spoke with Pooch Profits subscriber and Pet Flow founder, David Jones. His software is designed to automate bookings and overnight stays for groomers and dog boarding businesses.

There are many benefits, but basically it makes everything smoother, simpler, and paper-free for your business, and those without it, in my opinion, in the near future, will be at risk of being left behind.

It hasn’t officially launched yet, and I will talk more about this in the future, but for now, he’s looking for a small group of testers for the MVP.

In short, you’d test the platform, flag any issues, and share feedback on anything unclear or clunky.

It’s completely free, and David has said he’ll look after those who get involved. I won’t say too much, but if you’re in this space, it’s a no-brainer, and you'll be happy that you do test it out for him because when he says hell look after you, he means it.

For transparency, I’m not being paid or incentivised to share this. I just think it’s genuinely useful resource for my subscribers.

If you’re curious, you can check it out on the link above, or connect with David on LinkedIn: He'll be happy to connect and answer any questions you have.

Now, the rant.

Apparently, using em dashes or single-line sentences now flags your writing as “AI.”

As someone with a background in creative writing, that’s… frustrating to say the least.

It’s already made me second-guess how I write, which is a shame. I’d like to think good writing is still allowed to look like good writing.

Hopefully, that swings back the other way soon.

Any questions, just hit reply.
