They Told Me to Get a Trade

I took online courses, joined paid memberships to learn, watched hundreds of hours of free content on YouTube, and read every book I could get my hands on.

I still do.

I was obsessed.

Not because I wanted to prove anyone wrong. But because I knew, deep down, that this was what I wanted to do.

So I followed my path, and Im nowhere the end of it yet.

If you're sitting there right now with people around you who don't get it, who think you're wasting your time, who'd rather see you stay small and safe, I get it.

I've been there.

From the moment I can remember I was expected to be one of two things. A footballer or a fighter. I asked for books, got boxing gloves.

No boys liked (or admitted) to write where I was from.

Get a trade they said.

Get F****d I said.

It was the decision to keep going when everything and everyone around you is telling you to do something else.

What everyone else is doing. The normal path.

I chose my own.

Because you don't need their belief.

You need yours.

If you're ready to back yourself, even when times get hard, I tip my hat to you.

Keep going and keep believing.

You only fail when you quit.

It's your life and it'll be your story.
